More Reliable Deliveries This Winter
2-minute read
Winter 2022 is coming.
Whatever the weather brings, one thing is certain – our expert fleet drivers will be out in the elements working hard to provide the propane and heating oil deliveries that will keep your family safe and warm.
Our crews are trained to safely transport fuel in all conditions, but we can still use a helping hand from you to help make our winter deliveries even more secure. Here are four ways that you can prepare for a delivery during winter weather conditions:
Driveway Care - Ensure that your driveway is plowed at a width of 10-12 feet so that a delivery truck can access your home. And some sand and salt is always appreciated!
Fill pipes or Propane Tanks – If it snows, please make a clear, ice-free path to your heating oil fill pipe or propane tank so our drivers and technicians can access it quickly and safely.
Shovel & Salt Your Driveway & Walkways – One of the most dangerous parts of winter deliveries is navigating our trucks on steep or slippery driveways. Safety codes prohibit us from parking a fuel truck on an incline unless wheel chocks (the wedges we put under the tires so the truck doesn’t roll back) can be applied safely, so please clear your driveway of snow and ice before we arrive.
Plan Ahead – In the thick of winter, we have a full delivery schedule. If you are not on automatic delivery, call for a refill when your oil tank is no less than a quarter full and your propane tank is 40% to ensure ample time for a delivery. Or consider signing up for automatic delivery and we’ll take care of it for you!
Your help is much appreciated—we look forward to serving you this winter and for many more to come!
